Unmetered upgrade withdrawn 31st March 2007 If you have maintained a BT SurfTime subscription on your BT phone line since before 30th June 2005, you can use your Demon Dial-up account without being charged for calls- so called "unmetered", but only up to 31st March 2007. This is because BT is withdrawing the SurfTime scheme from that date and all calls will be charged at a pence per minute rate. No call charges in three stepsStep 1 . Choose whether you want Internet access with no call charges 24 hours-a-day or just during evening and weekend periods. Sign up for the appropriate Demon account to go with the BT SurfTime discount scheme you have, as shown in the table below

Many customers with evening and weekend accounts go on to create a second "Dial-up Connection" for weekdays and choose a low cost Pay-As-You-Go number. Step 3. Wait for BT to process your registration for 100% discounted calls – this takes 24 to 48 hours. While you wait you can get started straight away at minimal cost because our numbers are charged approximately 50% below local call rates anyway. To be sure our Internet call charges are being 100% discounted, check your BT online bill every day or so for the first week. Moving from another ISP?When moving from another ISP to Demon you should maintain existing BT SurfTime subscription. Please note "BT Openworld Anytime" and "BT Together 24/7 Internet" are capped services which are not compatible with your unlimited Demon account. Using Demon service on other linesInternet Access calls are discounted 100% on BT telephone or BT ISDN-2 lines that has BT SurfTime subscription applied. For other types of lines where you can’t access the Internet free of call charges, your Demon account does offer Pay As You Go rates that are amongst the lowest in the industry.
