Macintosh Anarchie

Anarchie enables you to transfer files to and from your Demon homepages webspace.
Once you have installed Anarchie it works in the same way as any other FTP Client.
When you run the program from the icon located on your Desktop you will see a Bookmark Dialog Box appear :

As with any other Macintosh application you will have a Menu Bar located at the top of the screen.
Click on the FTP Menu and select FTP you will be confronted with the following screen :

Enter these details:
Server: homepages.demon.co.uk
Path: Leave blank
User Name: Your Demon hostname
Password: ******** ( Enter your Demon logon password )
When you have entered your login information Press List and you see the following Dialog box :

This screen shot is an example of what you will see when you have logged on to your homepages webspace.

Here we show an example file. When you log onto your homepages space for the first time, this window will be blank.
If you want to upload or Put files onto the homepages server, you will need to select the FTP menu again.

You can choose which file from your Macintosh to place into your homepages webspace using the standard system search utility.

Just select the file you wish to upload and select open and the file will transfer to your homepages space.

When you want to Download files from your homepages webspace you can do this in two ways.

Highlight the file on the homepages server window and go to the FTP menu and choose Get Selection, the file should then be downloaded to your Macintosh.

Alternatively, highlight the file or files on the homepages server and drag them across to your Desktop.
Now you can move the files to whatever directory you wish.
