Macintosh Outlook Express 5 eMail ( Note: This software is not supported by the Demon Helpdesk ). Please see our Important Notice, we recommend that you read it before you proceed. ( Note: This software is not supported by our Helpdesk ) To set up Outlook Express 5, follow these easy steps.
Click Tools and choose Accounts from the menu.
Click New.
Choose POP account type and then click Assist Me or
Enter you name in the box provided, this name will appear on your emails and is not case sensitive. See our Names & Password Conventions guide. Click Next, (the right-facing arrow in the bottom right-hand corner).
Enter your email address. See our Names & Password Conventions guide. Click Next.
Enter the email server names. Click Next.
In the Account ID field enter your hostname.
Enter an account name. The name can be anything you choose. This example is for display purposes only.
In the Account Name field, enter Demon POP3, although this can be anything you wish. In the Name field, enter your actual name. ie. John Smith. See our Names & Password Conventions guide. In the email address field, enter your email address. In the Account ID field, enter your demon hostname. In the POP Server field, enter pop3.demon.co.uk. In the password field, enter your pop3 password. And finally in the SMTP Server field, enter post.demon.co.uk Click OK. Outlook Express 5 is now set up for you to send and receive emails.
