Claris eMail

( Note: This software is not supported by the Demon Helpdesk ).

After downloading the Claris Emailer files, double-click the Claris Emailer 1.1v3 Install icon.

This will then start the installation.

The Claris Emailer startup screen will appear.
Click Continue.

The Claris Emailer Installer dialog box will appear.
Select Easy Install.
Click Install.

The Installer will begin copying files. After all the files have been installed, a final dialog box will tell you the installation was successful.

Click Quit

Double-click the Claris Emailer icon.

The above screen shot will appear.
Enter Your name

If you have a company, enter Your company name otherwise leave this blank.
Enter the Serial number, which was supplied with the software.

Click OK

Click Setup from the menu and choose Easy Setup.

Click Next

Make sure that there is a cross in the Internet (SMTP/POP3) option.
Select the port your modem is connected to and click Next.
The Schedule screen will appear next.

You can either select a schedule for checking mail or check for mail manually.
Click Next.

Enter the following information:

Email Account: your username@pop3.demon.co.uk
Email password: Your POP3 password
SMTP Host: Outgoing mail server name post.demon.co.uk
Email Address: Enter your email address

Click Done.

To send email

Click on the Mail menu and choose New Message

Enter a subject in the Subject line.
Enter the recipients email address in the To: line.
Type your message in the main window and click on the Save button when you have completed the message.

To receive email.

Click the Mail menu and choose Connect Now.
Click the Connect button to Send any messages waiting in the Outbox
Receiving messages from the Demon mail server will be automatic once you are connected.
