Macintosh Soup

To Configure MacSoup:
Email Address: Enter your email address

Email Account: Enter your email address

Email Password: Enter your Logon password

SMTP Host: Enter post.demon.co.uk

NNTP Host: Enter news.demon.co.uk

Now you can run MacSoup, double-click on the MacSoup Icon.

Now you need to create a settings file, click File > New Settings File.

Now you have to download the list of newsgroups from the Demon news server.

Click Special > Connect to Server.

The window will show all the newsgroups on the Demon news server, up to 38,000.

Next subscribe to the groups of interest, click Special > New Newsgroup

The groups you subscribed to will appear in the MacSoup Settings.

After all that you can now download the articles for your subscribed groups.
Click Special > Connect to Server

To read the articles, double-click on the newsgroup in the MacSoup Settings.
