Names and passwords conventions

Hostname:
The name of your Demon account.
The hostname should be between 3 and 16 characters.
The hostname is always in lower-case characters.
This includes Alpha-numeric characters and also the Hyphen character.
e.g. Letters from a to z, numbers from 0 to 9 and the "–" characters.

Username:
The name that you can choose for an email etc.
The username should be between 3 and 16 characters.
This includes Alpha-numeric characters and also the Hyphen character.
e.g. Letters from a to z, numbers from 0 to 9 and the "–" and . characters.

Login Password:
The password you use when you connect to Demon and your Demon homepages server.
The login password should be between 5 and 8 characters.
This includes Alpha-numeric characters only, and is case sensitive.
e.g. Letters from A or a to Z or z, numbers from 0 to 9.
Note: It is generally a good idea to start your passwords with a letter rather than a number.

POP3 Password:
The password used to collect your email via POP3.
The POP3 password should be between 5 and 8 characters.
This includes Alpha-numeric characters only, and is case sensitive.
e.g. Letters from A or a to Z or z, numbers from 0 to 9.
Note: It is generally a good idea to start your passwords with a letter rather than a number.

'Reply to' address:
This may be used to route replies to your emails to another email address, for instance your work email. Generally the 'reply to' address is your default email address. If you have registered a domain name, include it here.

Display name:
This is your name as it appears on emails you send. You can use capital letters and spaces here, so you could, for example, have Mr D E Mon in the display name field.

Full Name or Your Name:
This refers to your actual full name i.e. Your first and last (surname) names.
