Enabling SSL on Outlook

In order to configure Outlook for SSL you need to set the incoming server for SSL.

First open up Outlook , and go to the E-mail Accounts menu under Tools.

This will bring up a menu like below. Select View or change existing e-mail accounts and click Next.

Now select the email account you are using, such as pop3.demon.co.uk and click Change...

Choose more settings…..

From this screen choose Advanced.

Under Incoming Server (POP3) - Tick the box for This server requires a secure connection (SSL).

Click OK and close the E-mail Accounts window by clicking Finish.
