Introduction

Demon now have a new ROMP specifically designed for games players - the Black ROMP. The lines terminate closer to the Demon Games Servers, which should lead to faster and more responsive gameplay.

Turnpike using Windows 95/98

1. Click the Start button, choose Programs and then choose Turnpike Connect. If the sign-on dialog is displayed, sign-on as usual. The Connect to Internet dialog will appear.
   
   
2. Or if you are already connected, click the button with the phone icon to disconnect and then click the button again to go on-line. The Connect to Internet dialog will then appear.
   
   
3. Confirm your Connection is Demon Internet Ltd.
   
   
4. 
   Click the Edit button to display the Edit Connections dialog.
   
5. In the Phone number section, click the down arrow in the Point of Presence (PoP) slot and choose 0845 access (Black ROMP).
   
   The phone number will be entered for you.
   
   
6. If the Black ROMP is not listed then you can just type the phone number in. It does not matter which PoP is selected, just type into the phone number box the number 0845 212 5033. If you use a modem, including the spaces is important, and once you have typed in the number, do not change the PoP setting or it will be lost!
   
   
7. Click the Save button.

You can now dialup Demon Internet using the new number.

Turnpike using Windows 3.1

1. Open the Turnpike group in Program Manager. Click on the Connect Icon. If the sign-on dialog is displayed, sign-on as usual to display the Connect to Internet dialog.
   
   
2. Or if you are already connected, click the button with the Telephone icon to Disconnect and then click the button again to Connect. The Connect to Internet dialog will then appear.
   
   
3. Confirm your Connection is Demon Internet Ltd.
   
   
4. Click on the Dialling button to display the Dial Settings dialog.
   
   
5. Click the down arrow in the Point of Presence (PoP) slot and choose 0845 access (Black ROMP). The phone number will be entered for you.
   
   
6. If the Black ROMP is not listed then you can just type the phone number in. It does not matter which PoP is selected, just type into the phone number box the number 0845 212 5033. 7. Click the Save button.

You can now dialup Demon Internet using the new number.

Windows 95 and 98 Dial up Networking

Typically users of Microsoft Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook.

1. Click Start, choose Programs then Accessories and finally choose Dialup Networking.
   
   
2. The Dialup networking window opens with one or more items.
   
   
3. Select the icon labelled Demon Internet. (Your icon may have a different name such as My Connection).
   
   
4. From the File menu choose Properties. The properties dialog will then appear.
   
   
5. In the Area code box, enter 0845
   
   
6. In the Telephone number box;
   
   enter 350 5033.
   
   
7. For the Country Code choose United Kingdom(44).
   
   
8. Select the option to Use area code and Dialing Properties.
   
   
9. Click the OK button to save.

You can now dialup Demon Internet using the new number.
