How to setup and connect for Mac OS7- 9.1 Demon Express USB ADSL

To setup ADSL follow the steps below:

Note: Do not connect your USB lead to your computer until the drivers are installed

Insert the CD in to the CD-Rom drive, setup should start automatically

If setup does not start automatically, double click the CD-Rom icon.
You should now see the installer icon.

Double click the installer icon to start the installation.

Click install.

Select Easy install.

Select a folder to install to.

The installation is now complete, click Quit.
Connect the USB lead to your computer now.

Go to the apple menu and then to control panels.
Select modem.
On the Connect via menu select Alcatel speedtouch USB.
Under the modem section select null modem 115200.
Close this screen.

Select save.

Go to the apple menu and then to control panels.
Select Remote Access
In the username field enter your ADSL username, this will have been issued to you by Demon Internet via your welcome letter.
In the password field enter your ADSL password.
Any number string can be entered into the telephone number field, as this is not used by ADSL.
In this example we left the original dial-up access number in place.
Click Connect.

Once connected you will see the status dialogue box appear.
