Terms and Conditions up to 04 July 2007
- You will be allocated a number from our pool of Electronic Fax (0870) numbers for your use. This number will remain the property of Demon, a brand of THUS plc.
- Should you cease to be a customer of Demon, the Electronic Fax number allocated to you will be withdrawn and made available for re-use after a suitable period of time.
- Demon reserve the right to recover Electronic Fax numbers and re-assign them should the number remain unused for a period of 6 months. Customers will be notified of such action.
- The fee payable for registering with the Electronic Fax service is non-refundable.
- You may have one Electronic Fax number per Standard Dial Up account.
- Facsimile messages received on your allocated Electronic Fax number will be forwarded to <address>@yourhost.demon.co.uk - You will not bounce, reject or refuse to accept any email sent to that address. However you are not obliged to download or read any such email and may delete it unread. Any correspondence about the Electronic Fax service will be sent to postmaster@yourhost.demon.co.uk
- You may choose the address <address>@yourhost.demon.co.uk when the service is configured. Demon intend to provide an automated interface such that you can change the nominated receipt address. Until this interface is available Demon will make reasonable effort to change this address on request, but will not guarantee to do so in any specified period.
- Should you close the Demon account which has a Electronic Fax number associated with it, you may transfer the service to an alternative Demon account. There will be no charge for this transfer.
- You will only arrange for facsimile messages to be sent to an address you have direct control over, or for which you have express permission to use.
- Demon have no control over the receipt of facsimiles to your allocated Electronic Fax number. The content of facsimile messages received by the Electronic Fax service is entirely outside the control of Demon. Demon will accept no responsibility for the content of received facsimile messages.
- Demon reserve the right to set an upper limit on the number of calls that can be accepted by any single account in a given time period. In the event that Demon take action to block further facsimile calls under this clause, you will be informed, but no refund will be made of any fees paid for the service.
- Demon will use reasonable efforts to ensure the Electronic Fax service is operational.
- Demon will in no circumstances accept responsibility for any loss or damage, consequential or otherwise, resulting from your use of the Electronic Fax service.
- Demon reserve the right to suspend or withdraw the Electronic Fax service in total, or from any individual customer at any time without notice.
- Demon reserve the right to vary these conditions at their sole discretion at any time and without prior notice.
- Any decision made by Demon in relation to this service shall be final.
