Knowledge Centre Making mobile email easier
Our Webmail service, available to all subscribers, allows you to read and reply to email wherever you have access to the Internet. The new Demon Mail service on Sky also lets you send and receive email using the red button if you’re a Sky Digital viewer. Enter Sky Active and choose the Mail option. WAP and 3G phones offer varying degrees of synchronisation with POP3 and Webmail accounts, but most newer models have a built-in modem which will interface with a laptop or PDA to give you access to your account no matter where you are. If you already have a modem in your laptop or PDA, you can connect it to your phone via infra-red or a cable. Pop3emails.com is a commercial service which gives you a single mailbox for all your business emails, and can be easily synchronised with a PDA or mobile phone. As you need your own domain name before you join the service, it is particularly geared towards small businesses already running a website who want to keep in touch with email on the move. |
