Mr Sherick was formerly the world-wide director for Group Fraud Control & Revenue Assurance for Cable & Wireless plc and Director of Risk Management for Hong Kong Telecommunications in Hong Kong. He has significant experience in general audit, and specialised for many years in the audit of computerised systems and telecoms fraud.

In the field of Telecoms fraud, Mr Sherick was the first Chairman and founder member of the Forum for International Irregular Network Access (FIINA), a forum where the International Carriers discuss and consider ways to combat telecoms abuse.

Mr Sherick is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and was also a Fellow of the Hong Kong Society of Accountants. He is also a Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a Member of Hong Kong Chapter of American Society for Industrial Security. Mr Sherick is a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors for which he was The North Pacific Regional Director for four years. He also served on the Advanced Technology Committee and International Relations Committee.
