THUS channel partner recruitment drive exceeds expectations THUS recruits over 200 telco and Internet partners in six months. Internet and telecommunications company THUS plc has announced an aggressive channel recruitment drive to increase its partner base to 250 by March 2001. It originally set this target for its channel programme back in April of this year and has since exceeded expectations by hitting the 200 mark for partners located across the UK, in just the first six months of the campaign. THUS offers a complete voice and data solution to third party customers, and has launched a new commission plan and dealer charter. New partners range from specialist data resellers selling frame relay services, to dealers offering leased lines, indirect and direct telephony. Partners are supported to sell the full range of THUS services, from standard dial up for Demon (THUS's Internet brand), to call centre services and the use of the IVR platform. Across the UK, one hundred telecoms channels and another hundred Internet partners have been recruited since the first mailshots went out in April. Jeff Fishel, sales director at THUS, said: "The success of our Channel Partner Programme shows both the clear market need for these types of services and how well we have positioned the offering to meet this need. The response rate of eleven per cent suggested that the proposition, list and creative were all spot on." "The awareness and credibility of the THUS brand is well established," said Dave Whitaker, director at the Walsham Group, a telco dealership primarily selling indirect access solutions. "It's the original service provider yet has continuously strived to develop its service to drive the widespread adoption of the Internet as a business generation and communication tool." "I'm not surprised by the success of this programme," continued Whitaker. "The THUS proposition is very attractive to partners. The range of solutions on offer allows us to genuinely add value and increase revenues." |
