Dot-Com attatches itself to Thus for video streaming Big Brother Web success sparks deal between Attachments and communications company Following the success of Big Brother's Web site, Thus has signed an agreement to provide streaming video services for the latest cult TV drama, Attachments. Demon, the Internet brand of Thus, is providing streaming video distribution to the programme makers, World Productions, for the Attachments fan-site, part of: www.world-productions.com, which is currently receiving an average hit rate of 95,000 a day (8,000 page impressions). The programme (BBC2, Tuesdays at 9pm) follows the developments of a dot-com start-up, from the original idea through to the recruitment of key staff, and the search for funding. Demon is providing hosting for 400 streams to the World Productions site throughout the series, which lasts for ten weeks. Demon is also providing streaming for the show's lifestyle Web site www.seethru.co.uk "Attachments has a huge Web following and we need to be able to guarantee the technology we use will stand up under pressure," said Liza Mellody, Associate Web Producer at World Productions. "Thus has more than proved its capabilities in this area by working with the Big Brother team. It seemed the natural choice as a video streaming supplier."
