THUS connects with Microsoft and Dell Companies to 'lease' Microsoft software through ASP offering Microsoft has selected Thus as one of the preferred 'ASP enablers' to host Exchange 2000 software as a managed service. Thus offers a hosted environment based on Microsoft software and Dell hardware to allow companies to access and develop e-commerce, ASP and business integration services. Customers will be able to 'lease' Exchange 2000 from Thus as opposed to them buying the software outright. With more businesses striving to expand their Internet presence, customers will be able to benefit from the combined force of all three suppliers in terms of cost and flexibility. Aside from product development, Thus will be responsible for sales and marketing, while Dell will provide a range of hardware and auxiliary infrastructure. Microsoft will supply both software and an operating platform through Windows 2000. Thus is bringing to market an application that small and medium sized businesses have requested that will take away the concern of software upgrade paths and allow them to focus on their core business. The hosted service will be available to resellers and systems integrators, enabling them to focus on customer relationship management and business development.
